What needs to be done to save species at risk
Read our latest paper
Dear Paov,
Biodiversity in Canada is in crisis. Wildlife across Canada is disappearing and almost 50 per cent of Canadian species are experiencing population declines.
The federal Species at Risk Act (SARA) is responsible for protecting and recovering Canadian wildlife at risk but it’s failing. SARA must be improved and enforced if we want to save all of the incredible wildlife that are on the path to extinction.

In our latest report, A Lonely Landscape, we highlight how much we rely on biodiversity, the current challenges with SARA and some of the species that have fallen victim to weak enforcement and non-compliance with the law. We provide solutions needed to save Canadian biodiversity.
