March 1st Benefit Dance/Fundraiser for the Wet'suwet'en Land Defenders

                            Join us at the Skwah First Nations Community Hall on Friday, March 1st, 2019 @ 6:30PM
                                                            
				
				                        
                                      	
			
				                                    
                        
                            Wet'suwet'en First Nations and the front line warriors are still in crisis as they defend the Gitumt'en Check Point against the Coastal Gaslink Pipeline. 
Join us this Friday to raise funds them for their essential supplies.
                                                            
				
				                        
                                      	
			
				                                    
                        
                            This benefit dance/fundraiser is dedicated to providing much needed winter gear and supplies for those front-line protectors occupying and protecting their Yintah (traditional territory). This event is sanctioned by Gitumt'en Clan Spokesperson, Molly Wickham and coordinated by our fellow land protector and comrade, Sakej Ward.All proceeds and supplies will be delivered directly to Molly, her husband Cody Merriman and all their support team at the frontlines.
The event is being graciously hosted on the unceded Coast Salish territory of Skwah First Nations at their Community Hall (615 Wellington AVE., Chilliwack) and by their respected elder, Eddie Gardner.
Event sponsors include the Wild Salmon Defenders Alliance and Pipe-Up Network.
MC for the evening events will be the infamous
Hiphop & Poetry Performer and Media Artist Ronnie Dean Harris (aka Ostwelve). https://www.ronniedeanharris.com.
Filling the dancefloor will be our concert headliner 'Swamp City' . The multi-talented group from Mission BC “share an exuberant love of Zydeco and southern roots music that combined with their excellent musicianship, has delighted and engaged audiences at festivals, community events, concerts and more.”https://www.swampcity.ca/ .
