Monday October 21st is election day in Canada. Once you have voted (yes, get out there and vote) it will be time to plot beautiful peaceful rebellion and prove that you can dance in the climate justice revolution. What better reason to gather on a Monday then to celebrate our right to vote! In the best way possible. Let us gather to celebrate our voices, to celebrate community, and to dance! BUT FIRST! VOTE!! do the thing. vote vote vote.

This event is happening on the unceded lands of the Lekwungen-speaking peoples of the current-day Songhees and Esquimault First Nations.Please take the time to acknowledge and respect the first peoples and the land of which we dance upon

This is an LGBTQA inclusive, all race & gender inclusive, all walks of life, bigotry will not be tolerated.

Here is the timeline for this Mondays gathering. Also a note that while there will be alcohol on premises this event is not strictly 19+.

There will be roaming performances from Ruby Raqs, Oshen Fjre Vulpardes, Kayla Healey, and Jacq Creatrix throughout the evening, as well as live painting from Soni Bonesz of Nothing Makes Sense

So looking forward to seeing you all there. Remember admission to this event is by donation with proof of voting. (a voting selfie, or a good ol' fashioned pinkie swear will do). No one turned away for lack of funds.

Accessibility:
The Victoria Event Centre is on the second storey of a building up a rather steep flight of 27 stairs. There is a continuous handrail up the stairwell and our workers/organizers are available to provide assistance as directed. The staircase is wide enough that a person cannot grip both handrails at the same time.

There are three multi-user, gender-inclusive bathrooms with stalls. One bathroom has a larger stall with its own sink and a grab bar.
