Statement on Memorandum of Understanding from Gidemt'en Access Point
In the last week the Wet'suwet'en Hereditary chiefs have reached an important memorandum of understanding with the province and federal government to recognize their title moving forward. The agreement is an important victory that was made possible because people have been willing to struggle and force the government to come to the table, but it does not address the conflict with CGL and the RCMP and that struggle continues.
