Deadline is this Friday for nominations for the 2014 UVic Student and Staff Sustainability Champion Awards. If you know a student or staff member who has done an outstanding job over the past year promoting sustainability on campus, consider nominating them for this fabulous opportunity to be recognized for their efforts. Nominations will be accepted until Friday, Feb 21st at 4:30 PM, with an awards ceremony planned for March 17th. Find out more and get the applications on the Awards tab here.
Campus consultations on the renewal of the UVic Sustainability Action Plan for Campus Operations (2009-2014) begin next week. Please consider attending one of the following events and let us know what you think the sustainability priorities for university operations should be for the next five years and beyond:
Campus Open House – Tues, Feb 25th, 11:30 to 1:30, Michele Pujol Room,... SUB
Student Consultation Workshop – Tues, Feb 25th, 4 to 6 PM, Upper Lounge, SUB (with pizza!)
Staff Consultation Workshop – Fri, Feb 28th, 11:30 to 1:20, Cornett, A121 (light lunch included)
The Campus Community Garden is seeking artists to design and print signs of veggies, gardens, a map and other drawings around the garden. Selected artists will receive an honorarium. The Creatively United for the Planet Society welcomes student participation at our upcoming April 25+26 Community Earth Week Celebration at St. Ann's Academy, 835 Humboldt St. Showcase a class project, join the Earth Walk, get involved in our planning team, volunteer for the weekend, meet awesome people!!!

GARRY OAK ECOSYSTEM RESTORATION AT FORT RODD HILL
