Logan’s pants were torn apart by the RCMP as they extracted her from a lockdown at Fairy Creek this week. We cheered her loudly at our weekly Old Growth Vigil at the BC Legislature today, along with Elder Rose Henry, both fresh from the front line. Tasha of Urban Actions for Ancient Forests invited us all to bring rocks to honour the 267 arrested forest defenders (now 280+). As we placed our rocks around a towering tree at the Leg, a chainsaw broke the peace, symbol of the madness underway in one of BC’s last ancient forests. When will this so-called “democratic” government listen to its citizens?Join us every Wednesday at the BC Leg, 4:00-5:30 PM. A similar vigil takes place every Saturday at 12 noon in Sooke outside the Edward Milne high school. Rolling Justice Bus leads banner waves over the Pat Bay highway at Rogers Rd. overpass every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:30 am. Other actions planned for next week. Stay tuned!image.png
