Updates from Camp and Direct Support for Lytton Fire Survivors
This summer has been rough. As communities across so called Canada and the world grapple with the direct evidence of genocide being shown in the media every day communities are also being subjected to climate disasters like the recent heatwave and the fire that tragically burned down the town of Lytton.
Resistance to the Coastal Gas Link pipeline continues on the territory and the Unist'ot'en healing lodge is fulfilling its mission of serving the Wet'suwet'en community. Across turtle island people are showing up in resistance and care tearing down the statues of racist colonizers, asserting sovereignty over Indigenous territory, and doing mutual aid and healing work to support each other through these crises.
If you're in a position to donate to support displaced Nlaka'pumux families who were impacted by the devastating Lytton fire please do so today. Details below.
