We are all treaty people
Hi Paov,
Many people think of treaty rights as “special” Indigenous rights. However, treaties are a foundational part of Ontario. All lands, water and people are bound by treaties with Indigenous Peoples. Every road, house, building or business that exists today was made possible because of a treaty.
Working towards reconciliation with First Nations means honouring the treaties and Indigenous inherent rights they enshrine. However, the provincial government continues to fight First Nations seeking justice through treaties.

favour First Nations. This is the exact opposite of reconciliation — and reflects badly on all Ontarians. Tell Ontario to honour treaty obligations We are all treaty people. Demand Ontario negotiate with Robinson-Huron First Nations.
