Endangered Kootenay forest needs your help
Hi Paov,
I’ve recently returned from visiting the beautiful Argenta Face Forest, located at the north end of Kootenay Lake between the communities of Argenta and Johnsons Landing.
I found trees marked with ribbons, slash scars and spray paint in preparation for logging. The chainsaws could start up at any minute!
Now it’s a race between your letter and the logging company's chainsaws. Will you help by writing your letter today?

This 6200-hectare low-to-mid elevation forest is important for many reasons, including its ecological value, its essential contribution to preventing landslides and soil erosion, and its aesthetic importance for the tourist industry of the region. Take action! The BC government has said it's willing to put endangered old forest areas like the Argenta Face Forest off-limits to logging while they partner on preservation with the First Nations whose territories encompass the old forests.
Your action is vital in tipping the scales in favour of the government granting a logging deferral on the Argenta Face Forest.
