This event is part of a West Coast Tour of events organized by the Free the Cuban 5 Committee-Vancouver to mark the occasion of Vancouver's 100th monthly protest action in front of the US Consulate in Vancouver to free the Cuban 5. This tour features the Cuban Ambassador to Canada, His Excellency Julio Garmendía Peña, Miraly González González, First Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in Ottawa, Stephen Kimber, journalist and author of "What Lies Across the Water: the Real Story of the Cuban 5," and Don Foreman, Union Representative for the Central Region of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW). For this tour there are 8 events in 5 days in Vancouver, Nanaimo, Kamloops, Seattle, and Victoria from March 5- 8.

The Ghosts in Our Machine screening (presented by UVic SALDF & The Raging Kucing)

UVic's chapter of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, in
conjunction with The Raging Kucing, is pleased to present a screening of the
new award-winning documentary, The Ghosts in Our Machine (http://www.theghostsinourmachine.com/).
It will take place in the Murray and Anne Fraser law building (McGill Rd at
Ring Rd), in the large auditorium, room 159.
Admission is free (donations will be accepted for the filmmaker's charity, We
