Hi Paov,
This year’s been a wake-up call heard ‘round the world.
You and I experienced unprecedented events with a scale and impact so deep they’ve been felt, shared — and mourned — the world over. A global pandemic. Heatwaves, forest fires, drought, and flooding witnessed here at home and around the world. A global response to blockades set up to save endangered BC old-growth. Worldwide, we mourned the lives of thousands of Indigenous children in unmarked graves.
A call heard ‘round the world, this is a call for action: A call for recovery from the COVID-19 crisis that’s inclusive, sustainable and resilient. A call for concrete climate actions to drastically reduce carbon pollution and build climate resilience. A call to defend and promote Indigenous rights and challenge systems that perpetuate poverty and inequalities.
For you and I, it’s a call to do all in our power to stop the accelerated decline of climate, nature and extinction of species that threatens the biodiversity all life depends on for survival.
