Upcoming Events

Dear Friends of SJS

Here are some upcoming events that may be of interest to you:

Waterlution is hosting a scenario planning workshop around the oil sands in Vancouver this April. I think this opportunity might be of interest to those young leaders in your network. The workshop is free of charge, lunch and dinner is provided and participants get a FourSight assessment, which provides insight into individuals thinking profiles, to add appreciation for how individuals work together over the day (and beyond).

Waterlution has been working for years to engage diverse perspectives in innovative ways forward within the energy sector. We feel the time has come to deliver something something new and potentially ground-breaking with this scenario planning format. We hope to have a broad spectrum of voices in the room to share knowledge and help craft scenarios of what the oil sands might look like in 2025. We invite respectful debate and exchange of polar perspectives so these divergent contributions can... eventually converge into the development of scenarios for a sustainable future. For more information please go to: http://bit.ly/1fDK6jF

When:

Monday April 28, 2014

Application deadline: April 7

What: We invite young leaders to participate in a scenario-planning project on the future of the oil sands. The objective of these workshops is to bring together young people - our leaders of tomorrow - to take a collaborative look at the big picture to uncover social, cultural, economic and environmental regional impacts, surrounding the oil sands industry.

Who? Young leaders with an opinion on the oil sands. We are looking for a broad group of young leaders with a diversity in opinions (from those who consider themselves a proponent or opponent of the oil sands) to apply and be involved in this timely and important conversation.

Cost: Free

For more information and to apply, please go to: http://bit.ly/1fDK6jF

It would be appreciated if you would share this opportunity widely within your networks. Thank you very much.

All the very best,

Julia
