Tell the feds to approve the emergency order for spotted owls
Hi Paov,
Decades have gone by while the federal government sat back and watched spotted owls plummet to the brink of extinction. They’ve remained silent while owl habitat is greenlighted for logging by the BC government.
Now, with a single wild born spotted owl left, the federal minister of environment has finally determined the owls are facing imminent threats to their survival and recovery. He is recommending an emergency order.
We need the federal cabinet to approve it.

Its decision can be made in complete secrecy. It doesn’t even need to provide reasoning about the decision. Let’s show the cabinet we are watching and expect the order to be approved. Holding it accountable is key right now. Write to save the spotted owls! Write a letter today to pressure the cabinet to do the right thing and approve the emergency order to protect the spotted owls.
Help make species at risk history today.
For the owls,
