Dear Paov,

It's time to act for a healthy coast.

In December, we reached a huge milestone for the management and protection of the coast: BC released a Policy Intentions Paper for the Coastal Marine Strategy.

We’re pleased to see that the Intentions Paper has been co-developed with coastal Indigenous nations, and that it sets out clear long-term outcomes, like restoring marine ecosystems and increasing the resilience of coastal communities to climate change.

Now the BC government wants to hear from you! Respond to the government's feedback survey on the Intentions Paper before April 14, 2023.

To help you get involved, we've summarized our take on the Intentions Paper in this blog. Check it out to learn more about what's in the Paper, as well as some concerns that we think should be addressed.

This is your chance to provide your input on potential actions to consider in the development of the Coastal Marine Strategy. The government's survey will take about 15 minutes to complete.

The coast is clear for a BC Coastal Marine Strategy, and we're grateful to be on this journey together.
