Hi Paov,
A few days ago, I sent you the email below about our Access to Justice program at West Coast. I haven’t heard from you yet so I’m writing to make sure you saw it.
A few days ago, I also sent you the email below about our Access to Justice program at West Coast. I haven’t heard from you yet so I’m writing to make sure you saw it.
STAND UP FOR COMMUNITIES WITH WCEL
Unfortunately, Paov, stories like Cara’s are too common.
We receive dozens of requests every year from everyday citizens who need access legal support as they navigate complex systems. When it’s them against giant corporations, our clients feel so grateful to have West Coast Environmental Law Research Foundation’s support.
That is why now more than ever, we need our work to continue. People like Cara are standing up for environmental justice and need our support.
TAKE ACTION BY DONATING TODAY
When communities challenging environmental harms need legal information, we're with them – from start to end. I hope you will join me in supporting their efforts.
With hope,
Carol Coffey
Access to Justice Program Manager

Dear Paov,
My name is Carol and I'm the Access to Justice Program Manager at WCEL. We provide hundreds of hours of legal advice and referrals, acting as a legal hotline, for people like you who care deeply about protecting the environment.
Communities all over BC are rallying to protect the land, water, and air that they love from the actions of big corporations, resource extraction companies and developers, and sometimes even our governments. And West Coast Environmental Law Research Foundation is there to provide legal resources and support when people raise their voices against environmental harms.
Paov, will you stand with us today so that we can continue our important work? Please take your support to the next level by making a donation to West Coast Environmental Law Research Foundation. DONATE TO SUPPORT WCEL Last week, we sent you Cara's story.
Cara is a bird-lover who deeply cares and worries about wetland wildlife in her community near Bridal Falls.
Due to the construction impacts of Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion, she and her community partnered up with West Coast to stand up on behalf of the species affected, including:
- Birds such as owls, hummingbirds and sapsuckers;
- Animals such as squirrels, rabbits, bears and bobcats;
- Threatened salamanders.

The truth is, Cara's group is just one of hundreds of communities across BC expressing growing concern about the environment.
They want to put up a fight, but often end up feeling helpless, frustrated and powerless.
Paov, we depend on donors to continue our work, and today, BC communities need your support.
Your donation today can provide grassroots community members with legal information, referrals and connections to other organizations and the moral support they need.
You can act today and tell them that they are important, and have an impact on all of us.
Sincerely,
Carol Coffey
