Drop by and ask them to end fracking
Dear Paov,
Summertime and the living is on edge! If it feels like flood season rolls right into fire season these days, fracking has something to do with it. But our elected representatives still aren’t connecting the dots from the climate disasters we’re living through with the province’s plans to build a brand new fossil fuel industry.
Can you pay your MLA a little visit to help them out?
I’M INFrack Free BC is planning a summer of action to turn up the heat on MLAs across the province. We’re asking folks to start simple: just gather a few friends to drop by your local constituency office sometime this month. All you need to do is offer the staff an end fracking poster to put in their window and ask for a formal meeting with the MLA.
We’ve got everything you need and we’re here to help. When you sign up, one of our Frack Free BC team members will email you a toolkit to get you started. Visiting your MLA’s office might sound intimidating, but it’s their job to hear from you! That’s what they’re there for. While the Legislature takes a break over the summer, MLAs are back in their ridings and it’s the perfect opportunity to get fracking on their radar.
SURE! I’LL VISIT MY MLATogether, we can send our MLAs back to Victoria in the fall knowing their constituents want bold action on climate change — and understand that means an end to fossil fuel extraction! With another long, hot summer ahead, we can connect the dots to the province’s fracking industry and why it must come to an end.
Thanks for taking the time to connect with your MLA and their staff about it.
For the climate,

Peter McCartney
