Dear Paov,
I’m blown away. In just a few days, more than one thousand BC Health Coalition supporters have filled out our survey to share their priorities for a new provincial funding model for contracted long-term care in B.C. – but we haven’t heard from you Paov.
The survey closes at midnight on October 25th so there’s less than a week left to weigh in. Will you fill out the survey before the deadline?
Here’s the first question: What is your top priority for the new long term care funding model?
◯ Requiring that funding for care be spent on care
The government is currently working on a new funding model, and the BC Health Coalition is planning a major campaign to ensure the new model takes into account the priorities of seniors, families, and workers. The results of... this survey will shape our campaign’s demands – and we need as many voices as possible to weigh in.
We’ll be unveiling the results of the survey on October 31st on our Campaign Call with B.C.’s Seniors Advocate, Isobel Mackenzie, where we’ll also hear about her recent report which revealed that for-profit long-term care operators failed to deliver 500,000 hours of care they were funded to provide. Then, we’ll discuss strategies to push for the funding reforms BC Health Coalition members prioritized in our survey.
Don’t miss your chance to help shape this important campaign. Click here to fill out the survey, and then click here to register for the Campaign Call.
