Hello Paov,
West Coast is the only legal charity in the country with a dedicated marine law program.
At West Coast, we believe the law is a critical tool we can use to protect our oceans and coastal ecosystems.
As you may know, tomorrow is Giving Tuesday – a global generosity movement aimed at making positive change in our communities.
Between NOW and midnight PST tomorrow, we’re trying to raise $5,000 to support lasting protection for the ocean and coastal areas.
Paov, can we count on your help to reach our Giving Tuesday goal?
Your support will allow us to:
• Press for strong mandatory regulations to address cruise ship waste dumping in BC waters
• Support the development of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) and Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas (IPCAs) along the coast
• Work with decision-makers to develop and implement a BC Coastal Marine Strategy
• Continue pursuing other legal solutions to protect nature and communities
SUPPORT LASTING LEGAL SOLUTIONS Biodiversity loss, habitat loss, and rising temperatures are impacting the ocean and leading to further changes on land.
The ocean and coast need strong legal protections to prevent further loss and harm.
