It’s been a busy month (and year) for the West Coast team! With COP28 wrapping up in Dubai, Canada announcing its long-awaited emissions cap, and strides being made here in BC with a draft Biodiversity and Ecosystem Health Framework – there are signs the legal landscape is shifting.
This month we’re also excited to spotlight the vital role of Indigenous legal orders in ensuring thriving ecosystem relationships, and to share a new video about our RELAW Co-Learning Program.
While we must stay nimble to deal with the growing challenges facing our planet, it’s also important to take time to slow down, reflect and set sustainable goals for the year ahead. As we navigate this challenging time, we’ll continue to walk alongside communities, knowledge holders, and allies working together to pursue environmental justice and protect the places we all care about.
