Hi Paov,

This Monday, September 30, marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Join us in remembering the victims and survivors of Canada’s residential school system, and committing to challenge ongoing colonialism.

Also known as Orange Shirt Day, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is commemorated with events all over the country. Please find an event near you by searching “Truth and Reconciliation Day Event + (your town or city)” and take some time to show up and honour survivors and Indigenous communities.

Learn more about this day

The Wilderness Committee expresses solidarity with residential school survivors, recognizes the links between colonialism in Canada and the destruction of lands and waters here, and commits to challenging systemic racism in our work.

We can all play a role in building a brighter, fairer future that we can all be proud of.

For the wild,
