O.U.R. Ecovillage Stone Soup FUNdraiser Thursday July 17th Odd Fellows Hall, 1315 Douglas St. Victoria BC 6:00-9:00PM What is Stone Soup? A gathering to which you contribute what you can to help co-create a more loving, liveable world through contributing your gifts to the whole set on a purpose. This event gathers the community to share in a meal and fundraise for O.U.R. Ecovillage #protectOUR campaign to support Brandy Gallagher, Executive Director,... her family and community and the village itself, during her courageous battle with cancer.

Michael Waters and Ocian Flo will provide live entertainment along with storytelling and elements of theatre. Come learn why O.U.R. Ecovillage is the GREEN JEWEL OF VANCOUVER ISLAND and why it needs our help to transition to cooperatively owned BY the community.

Door prizes and 'perks' for supporting this campaign will be shared including tax-deductible donation opportunities.

Join us for an unforgettable night of fun, laughter and contribution to an organization that has touched thousands of lives in its teaching of cultivating a better, livable world full of peace, cooperation, respect and community through permaculture and natural building education programs. Saanich Community Justice Initiatives:

NOW RECRUITING COMMUNITY JUSTICE VOLUNTEERS!

Are you passionate about restorative justice, healthy communities, and conflict resolution in the context of working with victims and offenders of crime?

Are you looking to use your skills and experience in mediation, facilitation, law, counseling, mentoring, health care, social work, etc. in a rewarding and impactful way?

Are you inspired by connecting with others in a supportive environment to share insights and develop new skills for working in highly emotional and challenging contexts?

If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, now is the opportunity to apply for the unique, rewarding, and hands-on experience to volunteer with Saanich Community Justice Initiatives, a program established in 2002 in partnership with Saanich Police and The John Howard Society of Victoria. Volunteers must commit to one year with SCJI, agree to a criminal record check, and attend a 2-day intro training July 25th & 26th, 2014.

Advanced training offered upon successful 3-month commitment.

Please apply no later than July 11th, 2014. Interviews will be held July 14-18th.
