NOTE: Excellent article by Stephen Hume on the Polly Mine spill. The connections to the proposed Raven Coal Mine are obvious. If the Raven Mine Project was approved, what guarantees would be in place to ensure the sediment/tailings ponds would be adequately monitored to prevent a spill into the Cowie Creek watershed and Baynes Sound?
