Join us for this half day gathering, where Allan will present some ideas for working...

for survivors of torture and violence, as well as their families and communities. Depending on participants’ interests, Allan will discuss the role of social networks and institutions, resistance to violence, interviewing methods, violence and language, and applications of response-based ideas with individuals and in groups. 

Allan Wade lives on Vancouver Island, where he works as a therapist and research consultant, with a primary interest in promoting effective and socially just responses in cases of violence and social injustice. He is best known for developing Response-Based Practice, which highlights the unending desire for dignity and justice apparent in the “small acts of living”.  Allan has published many articles and chapters on research and practice, which can be viewed at the website for the Centre for Response-Based Practice, www.responsebasedpractice.com.
