The Bolivarian Government of Venezuela has sent a third plane with humanitarian aid for the people of Palestine, which still suffer human, politic and economic consequences of the latest Israeli military offensive, which left more than two thousand deaths and incalculable damage to infrastructure.

This aircraft carried 10 tons of humanitarian aid, which added up to more than 60 tonnes shipped last August 12 and September 11. This humanitarian aid will be given to the Palestinian Red Crescent. The same aircraft will departure to Venezuela on November 4th, and bring 100 Palestinian students, who will be studying community medicine in our country.

The Government of Venezuela, wishes to reaffirm its commitment to the defense of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people in their just struggle for an independent and sovereign country, free from... any kind of imperial domination.

Mérida, 3rd November 2014 (Venezuelanalysis.com) – Yesterday a third plane set off from Venezuela with aid destined for the Gaza Strip. The act is part of the South American country’s solidarity effort in the wake of Israel’s assault on the Palestinian territory earlier this year.

The 10.3 ton aid cargo includes food, medicine and clothing. It will be transferred to the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip via the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank. The plane will land in Jordan first.

25 Venezuelan youths are also travelling with the aid in order to meet and return with 100 Palestinians who are being awarded scholarships by the administration of Nicolas Maduro to study medicine in Venezuela. A total of 1,000 young Palestinians are being offered the opportunity.

Venezuela is a strong diplomatic supporter of Palestine. President Nicolas Maduro was one of a number of South American presidents who demanded an immediate cease fire and the beginning of negotiations during Israel’s Operation Protective Edge bombing and invasion of Gaza in July.

During the conflict between Israeli forces and Hamas, about 2,000 Palestinians were killed, mostly civilians, while around 70 Israelis were killed, mainly soldiers.
