When
On Sunday November 23 at 6:30 PM
What
We will be hosting the screening of a short film documenting the 2014 Turning The Tide experience. Last summer SEA helped organize a group of paddlers, swimmers, and sailors who set out on a four day expedition through the Salish Sea to join in solidarity with coastal peoples in love with the ocean and in protest of the Harper/Clark fossil fuel agenda-specifically tar sands, pipelines and oil tankers. See turningthetide.ca for the film trailer and more information on the paddle.
We are hoping to generate some donations for the raven trust and Sierra club joint initiative called pull-together.ca, aimed at raising funds for First Nations Court Cases against the pipelines. On the website you can donate to our team page, or join our team and help fundraise!
