RAVEN's Annual Giving Campaign Gives Back!

Our Annual Giving Campaign is off and running! We are more than 1/3 of our way to reaching our goal of $70,000 by the end of December!! Thank you to those of you who have already committed to help fill our core funding basket. Your support is so important as our small but mighty organization tackles major funding issues facing First Nations who need to launch legal actions to protect their land and way of life. We do it all from the generosity of donors like you, foundations and socially responsible corporations - no government funds.

We are already offering a special gift for donations over $500 - now, until the end of the year, for donations of $25 or more, you will be entered into a draw for a fabulous gift basket of one of our coveted t-shirts emblazoned with the RAVEN logo by Coast Salish artist Mark Gauti, a RAVEN pen and stainless steel water bottle.

We appreciate that you may have previously donated to one of our campaigns, and we are grateful for your support! This year, we ask that you direct your year-end gift to support core programming at RAVEN. As noted, our goal for this appeal is $70,000.

One of our most successful campaigns to date is the amazing Pull Together effort - raising funds for six nations that launched legal actions to stop the Enbridge Northern Gateway pipeline and tanker project. Here's what one of the members of the Heiltsuk Nation says about it:

Running programs like Pull Together is a herculean effort. There are many people and resources involved, including Sierra Club BC on this one. We give as much of the funds as possible to the nations; so, that's why it's important to keep our core funding solid.

We hope for a day when our vision is realized and our services are no longer needed. But until then, we will continue to do our best to level the playing field. Your donation will help ensure we can continue to offer the best support to our programs. After all, it takes people to run the programs!

RAVEN is unique in the Canadian landscape, and we are having a direct impact on First Nations' ability to access justice and take on the big litigation processes that will shape the future of our country.
