Attack on public health care going to trial

PAOV,We hoped we would never have to send you this email, but we wanted you to know in advance: it looks like Brian Day will pursue his legal attack on Canadian public health care.
We are nearing the end of the court-granted delay period, and there’s still no sign of a resolution. Brian Day seems intent on using the courts to bring two-tier, US-style health care to Canada.
This means the case will likely go to trial in BC Supreme Court March 2, 2015.
The good news is, we’re ready to stop him.
We will defend public health care by participating directly in the trial.
We have intervener status in the case along with Canadian Doctors for Medicare, and we have the right to present key evidence to the court.[1]
With your help, we’ve raised the alarm at public events across B.C., flooded local media with news stories, and sent thousands of messages to the province.
BC politicians know we expect them to do their part to protect public health care. Thanks to you, unlawful billing in Brian Day’s clinics was raised twice in the BC Legislature late last year, prompting the health minister to reveal that the government is auditing additional for-profit clinics in B.C., and pushing him to publicly commit to protect Medicare in court.[2]
Now, as we face the increasing likelihood that the case will go to trial, we need to continue to build our momentum.
Together we can stop Brian Day’s profit-motivated attack on Medicare once and for all.
