Dear Friends of SJS,
Green Party information session on Bill C-51

Wed., March 4th

MAC A144

"The UVic Greens invite you to join Saanich-Gulf Islands MP and Leader of the Green Party, Elizabeth May for a timely discussion about Privacy and Security in Canada. The event will take place in MAC A144 at 7pm this Wednesday. We've got a Facebook event set up here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1543101665977584

Harper's new Bill C-51 will seriously erode civil liberties in Canada. Spun as an anti-terror measure, this bill is one of the greatest threats to our rights and freedoms as Canadians initiated by Harper. C-51 defines threats to Canadian security so vaguely that it threatens citizens taking action through non-violent civil disobedience and who voice their support for such actions.
