David Suzuki Foundation’s proposal to include the right to live in a healthy environment in the constitution.

NATIONAL ENERGY POLICY: WHAT ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE?

Kathryn Harrison will discuss the very different meaning attributed to the phrase ‘National Energy Strategy’ by various interests and regions. While provinces like Ontario and Quebec are actively seeking to shift their provincial economies away from fossil fuels and to promote interprovincial trade in clean energy, Alberta is actively expanding production of oil and gas, and primarily seeking transit for fossil fuels to foreign markets.
