Cafe Simpatico May 29th: Great music and the latest updates

Come out to Cafe Simpatico on May 29th for an evening of music and the latest updates on Central America Support Committee (CASC) projects.

This is the last Cafe before the summer break. We'll hear music from local musicians, interspersed with brief updates including:

• A report back on the recent Victoria visit of Reyna Tejada, a regional coordinator for CODEMUH, a women’s ... organization that supports female maquila (sweatshop) workers in the north of Honduras. We'll report on concrete actions that Canadians can take to support maquila workers and pressure their employers to improve working conditions.
• The latest from HIJOS Guatemala, where CASC is supporting a political arts project based in the memory of the disappeared and hope for the future.
  

As usual, the Cafe opens at 7:30 with a half hour singalong. Coffee, tea, and treats will be served!
