In other words, you’re the eyes, ears and beating heart of a campaign to bring people together across party lines to finally end 10 years of the Harper government.
Recently, we’ve heard from many people in the Leadnow community who are disappointed about the decision of Liberals MPs to vote for Bill C-51, despite their grave concerns about the bill, while promising to amend it if elected. We’ve also heard from many people, including allies and grassroots groups, who want them to commit to repeal the bill, not just amend it.
As one of Leadnow’s most active members, we want
to know what you’re thinking.

the Vote Together... campaign.
C-51 is an important issue for the community. A strong democracy is one of our priorities, and the Leadnow community has spoken out powerfully against C-51, with tens of thousands joining the Leadnow community through that campaign. We also recognize that both the NDP and Green Party have spoken out forcefully against C-51 and have each committed to repeal the bill.
We believe the Liberals made a mistake, and it may be a factor in their recent decline in the polls.[1] However, we also recognize that conversations about repealing or amending C-51 all hinge on defeating the Harper government in this election.
And, we still need to bring people together for our common goal: defeating the Harper Conservatives in this election and building community power so we can create a strong democracy, fair economy and clean environment.
The Vote Together campaign was designed over two
years with input from thousands of people in the Leadnow community to
anticipate this kind of challenge.
