two upcoming events

Dear Friends of SJS,
And almost last but not least:
please join all the troublemakers tomorrow evening for

The Troublemaker’s Summer Tumbler: an evening of performance, theater, arts, and creative community spirit. Highlighting amazing artistic talent, and forging it with the rooted commitment of the activist community, this event is a celebration of resilience and resistance.

Also: Info/Planning meetings for a Metro Victoria Alliance for the Common Good, modeled on the work of the IAF (Industrial Areas Foundation).

As you may know, Faith in Action took the initiative to organize the first set of meetings, and we invited people from a variety of organizations to these meetings. We hope the potential for this alliance has excited you, and we want to keep the momentum going. Now is the time for the next step.

We propose an opportunity for you to have a more in-depth... discussion and to ask questions. Come to one of the two meetings at 7:00 P.M. at St. John the Divine on either June 23 or June 24. We wish to facilitate some further consultation with you; bring your vision and hopes.

If you know of other groups that would be interested, please feel free to invite them to attend as well, even if they didn't manage to attend either of the two information sessions.

It is our hope that, following these meetings, a steering committee would be formed.

Positive change will come when enough people come together with a common goal. Please consider coming to one of these meetings to start an alliance for positive change.
