Hi PAOV,

Have you ever been on a solar-powered catamaran?

How about one that is tracing a tar sands tanker route, raising awareness about climate change and celebrating climate solutions and the beauty of the Salish Sea through music, public engagement and community events?

You’ll have this opportunity next weekend, when the Salish Sea Tour 2015 pulls into Victoria!

Day Event:
Saturday, July 18th, 12:00pm – 4:00pm
Ships Point Dock, Victoria Inner Harbour
Drop in any time for solar catamaran tours, activist networking and discussions!

Evening Event:
Saturday, July 18th, 7:00pm – 9:00pm
Solstice Cafe, 529 Pandora Ave
Join Salish Sea Tour organizers for a night of music (with Felicia Harding and Luke Wallace), speakers and a short film!

Share these events with your friends and family on Facebook.

The Salish Sea Tour is an initiative of the Wilderness Committee, Tanker Free BC, mariner Simon Fawkes and folk musician Luke Wallace. It’s all about confronting dangerous fossil fuel exports by highlighting and celebrating the solutions to climate change that are popping up right here in the Salish Sea.

The tour launched last weekend in Vancouver, and is making stops in communities along the Kinder Morgan tar sands tanker route on its way to Victoria, where the tour ends on July 18th.

The following day, Sunday July 19th, we’re organizing a spin-off event: a day-trip to the T’sou-ke Nation solar community!

The T’souke have shown inspiring climate leadership in becoming one of the most solar-powered communities in North America, and we want to take you to their community to learn about their system, philosophy and success!

We hope you can join us for one or all of these events – we know this weekend is going to be engaging, inspiring and most of all, fun!

For healthy Salish Sea and a safe climate,
