Rally in Vancouver this Thursday, July 23 CANCELLED
Dear PAOV,
Due to the tragic incident that occurred in Dawson Creek last week, Treaty 8 First Nations are respectfully cancelling the Drums for the Peace River Rally that was scheduled for Thursday July 23, 2015 in Vancouver.
You can read more about the rally – which we were helping to organize – and the reasons for cancellation in this recent news article.
The campaign to stop the Site C dam continues this week as the Treaty 8 First Nations and Peace Valley landowners make their case in opposition to the Site C dam in the federal courts.
The Wilderness Committee will continue to campaign to save the Peace River Valley from being flooded out by the expensive, damaging and useless Site C dam project.
I promise to keep you up-to-date as more news comes in. Thanks for your support!
For the wild,
Joe Foy | National Campaign Director
