We are delighted to advise you of an important panel discussion on Palestine, to be held in Victoria as part of the 10th Annual Victoria Anarchist Book Fair, on Sunday, September 13, 2015, at 4pm. Details of the event are as follows:
Panel Discussion on Palestine: Solidarity with Palestinians--Priorities for Canadian Activists

Organised and hosted by the 10th Annual Victoria Anarchist Book Fair
The discussion will focus on two key issues:
- How do we in Canada advance Palestinian solidarity work?
- How do we in Canada deal with Zionist efforts to demonise and undermine Palestinian solidarity work?
Confirmed participants on the panel are:

Leila Durzi: Ms Durzi is a Palestinian-Canadian who has been active for many years in Palestinian solidarity work.

Omar Mansour:
Mr. Mansour is from Gaza, in Occupied Palestine, where he was a
graduate student as well... as a social and political activist until 2014,
when his university was bombed during the summer 2014 Israeli
attack on Gaza. Omar is currently studying business at the University
of Victoria.

Larry Hannant: Mr. Hannant, an
academic and writer, is a history instructor at
Camosun College, teaching courses in the History of Human
Rights and History of the Middle East. Larry is a long-time
supporter of Palestinian resistance to Zionist colonisation of
Palestine.

Michael Carpenter (moderator): Mr. Carpenter is a graduate student and research fellow at the University of Victoria. He recently conducted research with a grassroots
resistance movement in Occupied Palestine. Michael also helps
coordinate UVic's Middle East Discussion Group, a campus-wide forum for
graduate students.
