• June 20 is World Refugee Day. Join us in honoring refugees and celebrating their resiliency with events at different Greater Victoria Public Library branches on June 20, 21 and 22.

  June 20: 7:00 pm-8:30 pm, Saanich Centennial Branch
  June 21: 11:30 am-1:30 pm, Oak Bay Branch
  June 23: 11:30 am-1:30 pm, Central Branch
  
  These events will feature key speakers from the local community and documentaries highlighting the triumph of the human spirit, manifested in stories of refugees who survived severe challenges throughout their journey, including in their countries of first asylum and resettlement.

  World Refugee Day: Victoria is hosted by the Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society, and organizing partners include the Greater Victoria Public Library, Victoria Coalition for Survivors of Torture, and UVic WUSC.
