Volunteer action night this Wednesday, Nov. 18!
Dear PAOV,
Last week, things really started to heat up in the Walbran Valley. We’re closely monitoring what’s happening, and planning our next trip out to the Valley.
At the same time, we’re ramping up our efforts to raise awareness about the imminent threat to the ancient forest and pressure the provincial government to respond. So this week, we’re getting creative!
We are having our monthly volunteer action night one week early in preparation for our Save the Walbran banner drop!
We need your help this Wednesday, November 18th to help us make a giant Save the Walbran Valley banner. Then a week later, join us at the pedestrian overpass at Uptown Centre mall in Victoria to unveil the banner and bring our message to thousands of people!

This Wednesday, we’ll need help painting the banner and other signs, and we’ll use the opportunity to bring you up to speed about what’s happening in the Walbran and what else you can do to help. Next week, we’ll need volunteers to help us secure the banner – and to smile and wave at passersby!
The fight for the Central Walbran Valley is on, and we need your help to protect what’s left of the old-growth!
We host our regular Volunteer Action Nights on the last Wednesday of every month from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at our Victoria office (#202, 3 Fan Tan Alley). Snacks are provided!
Please RSVP for this week’s volunteer night on our Facebook event pager0
