Can you imagine a better world? One built on social and environmental justice? One where Indigenous rights, sovereignty, and cultures are foundational? One where all identities are recognized, respected, and included? One where new solidarities build new societies?
So can we.
The Activist Assembly YYJ will be a full day of workshops, speakers, and participatory planning sessions working toward the future of our progressive movements. The day is
FREE (including food!) and all members of all communities are invited and welcome. Transportation and childcare is also available for those who request it.

Harsha Walia - Keynote speakerHarsha is a South Asian activist and writer based in Vancouver, unceded Coast Salish Territories. She has been involved in community-based grassroots migrant justice, feminist, anti-racist, Indigenous solidarity, anti-capitalist, Palestinian liberation, and anti-imperialist movements for over a decade. She is formally trained in law, works with women in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, and is the author of Undoing Border Imperialism. Harsha's twitter
Jessie Hemphill - Plenary facilitator First Nations community planner & facilitator and Councillor for the District of Port Hardy (youngest ever councillor and first ever First Nations).
