PAOV -- Since Harper was defeated we’ve sent you two surveys to get your advice on what to do with ourselves. Nearly 2,000 of you gave us your feedback. When we asked you if we should make funny content to help stop Harper’s dangerous TPP trade agreement. 85% of responses were “Yes”.
The good news is the Liberal government has promised to consult the public before passing the deal.1 The bad news? Recent polls show that “almost half of Canadians still say they don’t know enough about the deal.”2 The Liberals are expected to start their public consultation in early 2016.3 This means that educating the public about the true implications of this secret trade deal is a critical task right now.

After the election one person randomly emailed us and told us to “get a job”. We’d like to clarify that SHD.ca has no salaried staff. Our team of filmmakers and comedians all work other jobs to make ends meet. When the SHD community crowdfunds a project we hire artists as contractors to work on the production.
