Climate Change Showdown in 10th Year
BCSEA is now setting up workshops for our Climate Change Showdown program’s 10th year of educating grade 4 to 7 students and their families on climate science and energy conservation and efficiency. Since 2006 the program has reached over 60,000 students, in more than 2,400 classrooms in 15 different municipalities across BC, and has resulted in measurable greenhouse gas reductions of over 42,000 tonnes through participation in an energy conservation challenge.

BCSEA Partners with Vancouver’s... THNK School of Creative Leadership
BCSEA is pleased to announce our partnership with Vancouver's THNK School of Creative Leadership for the Innovation Challenge of their third cohort, beginning January 28th, 2016. THNK is a school for mid-career leaders from around the world who want to scale their leadership capacity and the impact of their initiatives via cross-disciplinary, hands-on training in human-centred design tools and venture design methodology. During each cohort's innovation challenge, participants collaboratively develop solutions to complex societal and environmental problems with the guidance and expertise of partnering organizations like BCSEA.
The third cohort will be exploring a topic which weaves in novel solution spaces uncovered during the current Prosperous Planet Innovation Challenge and themes from the first Future of Capitalism Innovation Challenge, findings from which were recently presented at the Meeting of the Minds urban change conference in Richmond.
