Dear friends,

I am thrilled to contact you regarding a unique international opportunity for Canadian Aboriginal young people (ages 18-35). VIDEA is currently offering ten International Aboriginal Youth Internships beginning in July/August 2016. The internships are part of the Global Affairs Canada-funded, International Youth Internship Programme (IAYI). Interns will spend one month in Canada preparing and reintegrating, and four months working overseas in either Uganda or Zambia, developing a deeper understanding of global issues as well as gaining valuable education and career-related skills.

The following internships are available in Uganda:

· Agriculture Outreach Worker

· Craft Outreach Worker

· Children's Care Home Creative Assistant

· Community Recreation Assistant

· Children's Care Home Recreation Assistant

The following internships are available in Zambia:

· Community Development Assistant

· Youth Program Officer

· Fundraising Assistant

· Youth Education Assistant

· Info & Communications Assistant
