It's a big day! Thanks to your generosity and the help of a local chapter of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, we reached our fundraising goal and we are going to take over the airwaves! We just got confirmation from CBC television that our first TPP ad will air thirteen times for people across the country to see starting March 28th! Thank you for making this possible.

Why do our ads matter? Nearly half of Canadians say they don’t know enough about the TPP trade deal.1 That means most of the country doesn’t realize that Trudeau’s Liberals are considering passing a new set of rules designed by Harper’s Conservatives - rules that will:

Create more economic inequality
Cost thousands of Canadian jobs
Raise the price of medicine
Threaten internet freedoms

Perhaps most shockingly, the TPP will allow corporations and the super wealthy to sue the Canadian government if our laws put public health, safety and economic interests ahead of corporate profits.2

The government has promised to hold more public consultations and a full Parliamentary debate on the TPP before passing it in parliament. This means that educating the public about the true implications of this secret trade deal is a critical task right now.

The TPP is like a vampire - a vile creature that cannot survive in the light of day.
