What do kayaks, pastors and youth all have in common?

PAOV --

They will all be at 'Break Free' in Vancouver.

There has been incredible broad-based support for the Break Free action taking place in Vancouver next week. Last weekend, dozens of youth and people of faith participated in non-violent direct action trainings to skill-up for the upcoming action.

Don't take if from me though – click here to hear what this moment, and this training, means for faith leaders joining Break Free:

We're hoping you can join in for the next round of trainings for Break Free on May 7th and May 13th – click here to sign up now!

Make sure you check out the website to find out more information about the action and to let the organizers know you're planning to be there. Hope to see you out there on May 14th. Break Free is a global wave of actions against the fossil fuel industry that has already begun to unfold -- earlier this week, hundreds in the UK drew a red line to block the UK’s largest open cast coal mine. Here in Canada, it's time for us to join in.

In solidarity,

Kiki Wood

P.S. We've been closely following the devastating impacts of the wildfires unfolding in Fort McMurray. Our thoughts are with the people in Alberta, and all over Western Canada, experiencing displacement from extreme wildfires. You can donate to those impacted by the fires in Fort McMurray via the Red Cross over here.
