Energy Connections 2016 will educate, inspire and energize. Join panel discussions with some of the leading minds behind BC's renewable energy industry and ask them, first-hand, those burning questions you've yet to have answered.
From the Policy Directors deciding the strategy behind BC's sustainable development, to CEOs and Presidents of groundbreaking technology companies, you'll have the opportunity to engage with the people driving BC's energy future.
Meet Rob Baxter, the co-founder of Vancouver Renewable Energy, the first company to install a grid-tie photovoltaic system in the city of Vancouver. With over a decade of experience installing solar... PV systems, he has kicked off the solar revolution in Vancouver and will speak about the cleantech infrastructure being developed in your community.
Hear from Malcolm Shield, the Climate Policy Manager with the City of Vancouver. Responsible for defining the City's electric vehicle strategy, he ensures that a low-carbon mandate remains top priority for Vancouver.
With Judith Sayers, discuss how sustainable technology is empowering First Nation communities. As Chief of the Hupacasath First Nation, she oversaw and negotiated the development of several sustainable projects and now serves as Strategic Adviser to First Nations and Corporations.
