WalbranWednesday is NEXT WEEK!

Dear Paov,

As we move through summer, the momentum to protect the Walbran Valley is growing. In the last few months, the Association of Vancouver Island and Coastal Communities and the BC Chamber of Commerce have passed motions calling for an end to old-growth logging. The crisis in coastal rainforests has been underscored like never before in new research from our friends at the Sierra Club.

Last month, more than a hundred of you called BC Forest Minister Steve Thomson, demanding he take action and set aside the Central Walbran Valley for protection. This weekend, a convergence and celebration is taking place in the heart of the Valley, which will give citizen activists the energy needed to win this fight.
