CAIA Victoria Active Committee now has a scheduled meeting with the Cowichan Tribe regarding the Duncan billboard.

However since we had such a long period before we could get a hearing, we have been given a full refund of our funds for the rent of the billboard space. We will contemplate putting the billboard up at a later date. Summer is most desirable.

CAIA Victoria has now purchased a van to use as our own space to display a billboard sign. We have negotiated with a supporter to design the display. The van design submission will be presented at an August 20 pot luck picnic at Esquimalt Gorge Park (suggested 4 to 7 pm).

For all those that donated to the billboard fund, if you wish a refund of... your donation please email CAIA. Otherwise we will use them toward the expenses incurred in outfitting our van to be a street legal moveable publicity display. We will also be fundraising for continuing expenses we expect for moving our display van around B.C.
