Dear CASC supporters and friends, This is an early
announcement of the beginning of our fall Cafe Simpatico
events.
On September 30 we will have a presentation
on the current situation in Honduras from Kay Gimbel, a Victoria activist and
researcher.
Kay was in Honduras on a very intense solidarity journey
this summer and has much information and many insights into that country
and Canada’s connection to events there. More details in a few
weeks.
Cafe simpatico: 1923 Fernwood Road, September
30. Doors open at 7 pm. Nedjo reruns to lead us in
song at 7:30 pm and the Honduras presentation is at 8pm
Admission by donation: refreshments and as always our own
organic, fair trade Cafe Simpatico coffee.
Co-sponsored by the Mining
Justice Action Committee
We have many possibilities for later cafes and presentations including
Venezuela, Colombia & a fund raiser for families of disappeared Mexican
students. If you are interested in helping organize... future events you are
welcome to attend CA SC's next planning meeting: Sept. 7 at 7:30 pm; 1923
Fernwood Road – around the back & up the ramp to the board room.
Yours in solidarity, Terry for your Central America Solidarity
Committee
