Join us on Monday for our next Volunteer Action Night!
Next week is a busy one in the fight for Vancouver Island's forests! City councillors from Island communities have passed motions opposing old-growth logging, and will be working to have this motion passed at the provincial level at the Union of BC Municipalities convention, September 26 - 30.
At the Wilderness Committee, we're doing everything we can to support these local leaders, and we need your help!
This Volunteer Action Night will focus on our Vancouver Island forest campaign, and highlight upcoming events and actions that you can be a part of.
This month, Volunteer Action Night will be held on Monday evening, at the regular time (5:30-7 p.m.) at our usual location at #202, 3 Fan Tan Alley. Snacks will be provided.
Immediately afterwards, we'll be walking around the corner to join our friends at Island Forest Futures, who are hosting a presentation on alternative forestry on Vancouver Island. We encourage you to join us for this exciting event and add your voice to the conversation.
