Make this your best summer yet!
Dear Paov,
It’s almost spring and that means we’re gearing up for another field season.
The Wilderness Committee uses trail building and expeditions as a strategy in our wilderness preservation campaigns.
Our 2017 season features trail building on Vancouver Island in the Walbran Valley, and Ahousaht Wild Side (Flores Island) and Wah-nuh-jus—Hilthoois (Meares Island) in Clayoquot Sound. We'll be working with First Nations land stewards and local activists to protect ancient forests.
These trips provide an opportunity to camp below a canopy of towering western red cedar trees while building and upgrading infrastructure that makes these incredible places accessible to thousands of others.
You will need to put in some long days, carrying heavy loads and walking for several hours, but in return we promise you great company and spectacular views.
If you’re physically fit, an experienced hiker and camper, come join one of our trail building trips.
There are limited spots available and these trips are in high demand so sign up now!
Register today and do your part to promote the preservation of BC’s wild landscapes.
