On November 16th, help build a united wall of opposition to pipelines, reckless tar sands expansion and runaway climate change at local events across the country.

From Enbridge’s proposed Northern Gateway Pipeline to Keystone XL, Kinder Morgan, Line 9 and Energy East, the federal government and global oil industry are working together to undermine our democracy, gut our environmental laws, and ram pipelines through local opposition.
Over the last two weeks, as scandals swirl around his office, the Prime Minister has declared again and again that he will double down on his push to bet our economy on boom and bust industries - no matter the consequences.
This is a crucial moment. Over the coming weeks and months, our federal government will make decisions about tar sands pipelines that would do permanent damage to our communities and...
push the world toward runaway climate change.
Now, communities are coming together like never before in a growing movement to stop pipelines, reckless tar sands expansion and runaway climate change - before it’s too late.
We’d love for you to be part of this. On November 16th, thousands of Canadians will join together with environmental, First Nations and community groups for the “Defend our Climate, Defend our Communities” national day of action.
People are already hosting actions in over 40 communities! Will you join us on November 16th? Use this map to find a rally close to you, then be sure to RSVP so we can keep you updated:

Our federal government has called concerned opposition treasonous, and spent millions of our taxpayer dollars trying to drown out citizen’s voices with endless TV ads promoting the oil industry.1
The tar sands giants are 71% foreign-owned - and the companies who would benefit from reckless tar sands expansion are ignoring the risks to our communities, our climate and our economy.2
There’s a better way. Imagine if people from across Canada came together to build a clean, just, and safe energy economy that we could be proud of.
Lets stop the reckless expansion of the tar sands before it’s too late, and start a conversation about how we can create an economy that’s built to last for all generations.
Will you pledge to stand up in your community on November 16th? Click here to find a rally close to you, then be sure to RSVP so we can keep you updated:
